With Veterans Day right around the corner, our team here at Certified Autoplex wanted to share information for local parades and events happening near Dallas to honor the day. Dallas is a regional site for the observance of Veterans Day, so it’s safe to say there are plenty of ways to get involved and show your support. Veterans Day Parade – Dallas
Friday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
This year’s theme is ‘Honoring the Military Family’, and the parade will take place in downtown Dallas. There will be a massing of the colors as well as the 11th hour ceremony in front of City Hall starting at 11 a.m. The parade will follow the ceremony that’s estimated to last about an hour. The parade route starts at Reunion Arena and proceeds north on Houston Street, east on Main Street, south on Ervay Street, west on Young Street, south on Akard Street and back in front of City Hall. This route is similar to previous years, and everyone can see the military vehicles and parade floats starting on display starting at 9:30 a.m.
Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade
Friday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
If Fort Worth is more of a convenient location for you, then you’re in luck. There will also be a Veterans Day parade here with step-off starting at 10:30 a.m. and the opening ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. in Sundance Square. It’s a similar theme for this parade with the official title being ‘Honoring Blue and Gold Star Vietnam Veteran Families’. There is an after parade reception at the Post Canteen, and everyone is welcome to join. It opens at 12 p.m., and there are drink specials all afternoon as well as lunch and special guest speakers.
