What’s New on the 2018 Lexus NX?

The 2018 model year is bringing a minor refresh to the design of the Lexus NX compact crossover. Some of the most notable changes include several exterior enhancements. The front fascia has been altered to give the upper portion of the spindle grille and the front bumpers a more organic blending into the hood and front doors of the 2018 Lexus NX. The near fascia have also been updated. The lower rear bumper is wider to give the vehicle a more settled stance and the taillights have been stretched. There are also a few technology and interior enhancements that make the 2018 Lexus NX even more attractive.

Infotainment and Interior Technology

The infotainment display system on the 2018 Lexus NX has grown from seven inches to 10.3 inches, and buttons on the HVAC control panel have been replaced with toggles. The clock is larger, and controlled by satellite so drivers no longer have to adjust the time when moving between time zones (and possibly even with automatic updates for things like daylight savings time).

Powertrains on the 2018 Lexus NX

The base model of the Lexus NX will be renamed the Lexus NX 300, but it will continue to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. We don’t have confirmed engine output numbers, but assume this engine will deliver something similar to the 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque on last year’s 200t model. The NX 300h hybrid model will have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors.
