Top Three Car Apps

Top Three Best Car Apps for Commuters

Those who spend multiple hours behind the wheel each day know just how important it is to have the best smartphone applications to keep on track and entertained. Our team here at Certified Autoplex decided to put together a list of our top three favorite apps to use in the car.

Although a lot of newer vehicles have these applications built in to touch-screen displays, not all of us are quite there yet. However, it’s safe to say that most of us have smartphones at this point, which are equally as useful when it comes to car applications.

Whether you’re a college student driving to and from class, a busy stay-at-home mom or you commute to work everyday, we’re sure these car apps will come in handy. However, it’s important to know that these should never be used while driving. If you want to take advantage of these applications, be sure to do so before you get on the road.

Which apps do I need for my next road trip?

  1. Google Maps – This is our number one go-to when it comes to car applications because if you don’t know where you’re going, you won’t use the rest of the apps anyways. Whether you’re looking for a local coffee shop or a friend’s house three states away, Google Maps has your back. It allows you to choose alternate routes and also figure out directions for walking, riding a bike or taking public transportation.
  2. GasBuddy – Another must-have is the GasBuddy app, which allows you to find the cheapest gas prices near you using either the city or the zip code. It will show you the average price as well as the lowest price and the current trend. Users have the option to sort the gas stations by either distance or price depending on what’s most important at the time.
  3. Spotify – If you’re looking for the ultimate form of entertainment while you’re on the road, Spotify is most definitely the answer. There is an entire genre of ‘Travel’ playlists with options ranging from ‘morning commute’, ‘evening commute’, ‘songs to sing in the car’ and ‘family road trip’. As if that’s not enough, there are also tons of podcasts you can listen to as well.

If you have questions regarding any of these car apps, please don’t hesitate to contact our team here at Certified Autoplex.
