Each year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluates new vehicles and rates their safety performance. For the 2017 model year, four of the six Acura models earned top IIHS safety ratings. The 2017 Acura MDX received the TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for the fourth year in a row. The 2017 Acura RDX also earned this award when equipped with the available AcuraWatch safety features.
