It\u2019s an exciting year for the Lexus IS with a redesigned 2017 model making its way to dealership lots across the U.S. Drivers can look forward to a new overall appearance as well as an updated safety system. In order to spice of the lineup, Lexus created the Sriracha IS, which was unmistakably inspired by the beloved hot sauce made by Huy Fong Foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Lexus wanted to \u2018turn up the heat\u2019 with custom auto detailing, food-inspired touches and a stockpile of easily accessible Sriracha, so that\u2019s exactly what happened. The Lexus Sriracha IS was on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lexus Sriracha IS: Special Features –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The crew at West Coast Customs made the Lexus Sriracha go from a dream to reality. If you remember the MTV show \u201cPimp My Ride\u201d, then how this vehicle was made will come full circle. To give you a better idea of what the Sriracha IS has to offer, Lexus released this teaser video:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lexus Sriracha IS was designed with a ton of attention to detail. Believe it or not, Sriracha was even added to the paint to create the perfect red color, which is complete with flecks of chili-like flakes. The steering wheel continues the Sriracha-inspired color with a \u201cHot Handling\u201d warning label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are plenty of other ways the theme is tied together with temperatures going from cool to Sriracha hot, and a Sriracha Driving Mode designed for faster gear changes and more dynamic throttle mapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plush leather seats are complete with hand-embroidered Huy Fong rooster logos, the Sriracha IS logo and green accents like the traditional sauce bottle. Other green accents are included with interior cabin mood lighting, hand-stitching on the seats and a spindle grille outline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To take this car over-the-top, there were 43 bottles of Sriracha in the trunk, and the key fob dispensed sauce from the nozzle. Two custom-made driving jackets were also created with unique Sriracha IS images and patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
