We\u2019re in the heart of summer now, and with children out of school for over a month they may be getting restless. That\u2019s exactly why our team here at Certified Autoplex<\/a> wants to share a few family-friendly local events for drivers in the Carrollton, Texas area to enjoy throughout the month of July. There\u2019s so much to do here, so get ready to fill your schedules!<\/p>\n

Picnic in the Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When:<\/strong> Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
\nWhere:<\/strong> Harvest Run Park at 4334 Spurwood Drive<\/p>\n

It\u2019s National Parks and Recreation month, so we\u2019re celebrating with a picnic in the park. This event is hosted by the city\u2019s Parks and Recreation department, and it was designed for you and your family to enjoy. There will be tons of fun activities for the younger crowd including arts and crafts, games and sports. Hot dogs, chips and water will be provided as well. Movie on the Square<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When:<\/strong> Saturday, July 9 starting at 8:30 p.m.
\nWhere:<\/strong> Downtown Carrollton at 1106 Broadway Street<\/p>\n

If you have teenagers, it may be more difficult to find events and activities that they\u2019ll enjoy as much as the little ones. With that in mind, the city is hosting a free outdoor screening of Jurassic World, which is rated PG-13. It will start at sunset. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and anything else you\u2019ll need to get comfortable. If it\u2019s raining, this event will be cancelled. Swim-in Cinema<\/strong><\/h2>\n

When:<\/strong> Saturday, July 22 starting at 7 p.m.
\nWhere:<\/strong> Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex at 1334 East Rosemeade Parkway<\/p>\n

Every year, the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex hosts a poolside movie night for families to enjoy together. This year they\u2019ll be showing the movie Inside Out, which will start playing around 7 p.m. It will be open swim during this time as well. In order to get resident rates, be sure to have your driver\u2019s license handy. Children ages 3 and under are free of charge. Further details can be found here<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
