The crazy thing is that the 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon both come with a similar sized engine. Both of their supercharged 6.20-liter V-8 engines are designed to burn up the pavement. Both vehicles also unite their nearly unstoppable engines with an elite eight-speed transmission (available on the Hellcat, standard on the Demon). But the engine output you get from these two vehicles is very different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat<\/strong> offers a breathless and bold 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and has a quarter mile time of 11.7 seconds. Impressive as this, and as seemingly unstoppable, the Dodge Demon that was released just this year has already overwhelmed its sibling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon,<\/strong> using the same displacement engine as the Hellcat, delivers 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque. That translates to a 0-60 time of just 2.3 seconds and a quarter mile time of 9.6 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
