Drivers of the new 2018 BMW M5 will be able to enjoy responsive and controllable handling with the M xDrive system on the BMW M5. Thanks to DSC (Dynamic System Control) and the M xDrive system, this sedan can offer drivers a choice between five different driving configurations. Drivers will be able to enjoy four-wheel drive, a four-wheel drive sport-optimized mode, and two-wheel drive. Other unique performance settings will also be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drive settings (which include structural advantages as well as advanced software) will complement the bold powertrain standard on the 2018 BMW M5. The engine will be a turbocharged V-8 engine featuring M TwinPower Turbo technology. Mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, this powertrain should be able to crank out approximately 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
